Summary

Today's episode is a two part Special Edition mega episode on Tangles most requested topic, Jeffrey Epstein. To tackle this long, controversial and deeply complicated story, Isaac Saul decided to independently interview two journalists who have been looking at this story through two very different lenses. The two guests are Michael Tracey and Tara Palmeri. Michael Tracey is very skeptical and worried about how this story has percolated in pop culture whereas Tara Palmeri is trying to elevate the stories of the woman who have accused Jeffrey Epstein of assault as well as pushing back on the "manosphere" narrative from people like Michael Tracey who she things are trying to rewrite the Jeffrey Epstein story and downplay the crimes that he has been accused and convicted of. Interviewing both separately ensures both can get their reporting and opinions across without debate which allows our listeners to form their own opinions based off of the research and opinions they both have collected through all of their journalism on Jeffrey Epstein. Be sure to listen to both part 1 and part 2 of this mega Special Edition.

And the two guests we're bringing on today are

Michael Tracy and Tara Paul Mary. Michael Tracy is an independent journalist. Tara Paul Mary is an

independent journalist. Both Michael Tracy and Tara Paul Mary have been looking at the Epstein story

for many, many years. And both of them have really distinct views on this issue, as you're about to see.

0:56.2

If I could describe them just briefly, I would say Michael Tracy is somebody who is very skeptical

1:02.5

and worried about the way the Epstein story has percolated in pop culture.

1:07.1

He believes there is mass hysteria equivalent to something like the Salem witch trials

1:13.2

that is kind of taking over everybody's brains and making it very hard for them to think about

1:19.7

these accusations and this story in a rational way. And he's doing a lot of work in his journalism

1:27.1

to try and push back on some of the mainstream narratives and the assumptions doing a lot of work in his journalism to try and push back on some of the

1:29.2

mainstream narratives and the assumptions that a lot of people are making. Terrapal-Marry,

1:34.4

also an independent journalist, is somebody who has been doing her best to elevate the stories

1:39.6

of the women who have accused Jeffrey Epstein of assault. She's been pushing back on what she describes

1:46.4

as a manosphere narrative from people like Michael Tracy, who she thinks are trying to rewrite

1:52.6

the Jeffrey Epstein story and trying to downplay the crimes and the nature of the crimes that

he's both been accused of and been convicted of. So I brought them

both on to the podcast and I interviewed them separately. I did that for a few reasons. One, I didn't want
