Hansel and Gretel is one of the many German fairy towns collected and published by the

brother's grim. After their parents abandoned them in the woods, two siblings find their way

to a cottage made entirely of cakes and sweets. When they start eating the delicious

house, they are invited inside by a wicked witch. She plans to cook and eat them for supper

until Gretel finds a way to outsmart her and get them home.

This version is likely very similar to the one you've heard before, but we hope that

if you haven't ever read it and just know the general plot, you'll still enjoy the

details that make this story a delight, like the animals the children encounter along the

way. We hope you will join us for this season, however if you decide that Hansel and Gretel
