Good evening and welcome to the Sleepy Bookshout. This season we will be reading Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Mell, first published in 1926.

This beloved work is a childhood favourite of many of our listeners and we're so excited to bring it to you now.

Winnie the Pooh is the first of several books following the adventures of a boy named Christopher Robin and his animal friends.

The bear Winnie the Pooh Piglet, Rabbit, Eaw, Owl, Kanga and Baby Roo.

They go off in search of heathlumps, eat lots of honey, explore the hundred acre wood and above all show the love, care and kindness of true friendship.

While this book was written for children, can certainly be enjoyed by people of all ages.
