This is John Batchelor. Conversation with colleague Victoria Coates of the Heritage Foundation about the meeting in the White House recently with European leaders, the subject being Mr. Zelensky's Keefe and Mr. Putin. What is next? The White House would like, would intend to go to a conversation from Mr. Zelensky and Mr. Putin.

That is not happening as of right now.

However, Victoria finds a timeline in all of this.

Two weeks, mentioning the president's frustration,

two weeks for this to come to a resolution or unpredictable.

I think, I mean, I think that's natural. You know, after three and half years of nobody talking at all,

you know, to suddenly have everybody talking. And, you know, I was very struck by the Oval office meeting two weeks ago that that had never happened before in history. And for them to put that

together in 40 hours, you would think diplomatically that

would take a year to plan getting those seven people into the Oval along with the President

of the United States and the President of Ukraine. So that was pretty remarkable in and of itself.

And so that is all progress. Talking to Putin, I wouldn't enjoy it

personally, but it has to happen to get to a resolution of this war. And, you know, it's not

illogical that after that flurry of activity, you would have a little bit of a lull. But the president

did say over the weekend that he's deeply frustrated by what

Putin is doing and he is considering other actions. And he put about a two-week time limit on it.
