This is John Batcher, conversation with General Blaine Holt, United States Air Force retired,

about the revelation from Congress that the Chinese Communist Party and its agents have used cargo cranes,

the kind that you see at all the U.S. ports and ports in the Caribbean ports around the world,

used a Shanghai-based cargo crane builder to install surveillance technology inside the cranes.

The revelation is not fresh, but it is from Congress.

The question is why?

Surveillance, National security, and because the Chinese steal, they steal

secrets.

We're not any more secure than we were many years ago when the Chinese started interdicting our supply chain systems.

Cranes and infrastructure are and have always been a very big part of their desire to bring in what seems like a very harmless

normal business transaction of building cranes. Unfortunately that comes at the expense of a lot of American jobs that we used to have.

But in each case, the Chinese usually don't miss an opportunity to on board some sort of clandestine operational facet to what we're talking about.

And what Gordon was talking about is, yes, we can monitor and track supply chain operations in the United States

they can do that with space assets and a whole lot of other assets as well and and but the

other side of that spectrum is that these technologies could be actually used to not just shut down our own supply chains, but they effectively own cranes going down through every single major choke point in the world.

Miloccan Strait's, the ports of Panama, Bahamas, the Suez Canal, you'll find the Chinese there.

It's also how they ensure their belt and road initiatives.

They have a lever to say, hey, I'll shut down your cranes

if you don't play ball with me and and supply chain to the Chinese is a

primary methodology of warfare.
