However, John Cochran identifies why it is that Trump is doing so well against Joe Biden,

despite the fact that Mr Biden having defeated Donald Trump in 2020.

He identifies three areas where Mr. Trump has been successful. One, identifying

immigration as a problem, mishandling immigration as a problem. Two, the question of the direction of the country. In 2016 when

Mr. Trump was successful, the direction of the company country was down chiefly

to do with dealing with the factory floor having moved to China and

dislocating a lot of people's lives in the United States. And three, the

institutions that have been called into question by the conduct of

Washington and other authorities these last years.
