This is John Batcher from a conversation with Jonathan Shanser of FTD about Hamas, about the

Gaza Strip.

Con Eunice is in the center south of the Gaza Strip.

That is where the opinion of the IDF, the leadership of Hamas is hiding

in the cells, in the tunnels, in the rooms beneath the ground.

There has been success there these last days.

However, Jonathan is very clear, though there will be infiltration in the north,

that there will be continued fighting in the center. The big battle is

going to come in the south, the Rafa crossing. Questions to be asked of Egypt,

did you permit Hamas to dig tunnels into Sinai, allowing them to smuggle to get

money and arms back and forth, allowing them to escape in these last weeks of fighting in

Gaza Strip. Are you participating in the defense of Hamas in some fashion by

hiding these things.

Yes, I mean, the answer to that question is yes, that the Israelis in Han Yunus, and this is

Central Southern Gaza, they were actually over the weekend broadcasting photos and video of

the capture of a major command center probably larger than the one that they took

in Gaza City at the beginning of the war.
