Policy Education Center, about the announcement that Russia and Federation is building a new breeder

reactor to be operational by

2032. What is a breeder reactor? That's a pure bomb maker, plutonium. Henry

explains why this particular design is dangerous with Russia possessing it and more so if anybody else does.

I don't know if they're going to use it for their weapons program.

I mean, it's conceivable.

I don't know that that's the case.

What's the most worrisome from a security standpoint

with regard to this project

is they have announced that they intend

to make export versions of this.

Now that is a problem because, depending on where you send it, half or more of the plutonium

that this breeder reactor is designed to produce isn't weapons usable, it isn't weapons grade, it is super weapons grade, and it is of the highest

content of the most desirable weapons isotope plutonium plutonium

239 which makes bombed Assembly easier and makes the bombs more efficient.

You can make more bombs out of this material

of a certain yield, etc.
