This is John Batchel, a conversation with colleague Jeff Bliss.

Las Vegas tourist traffic is way down. They're coming up with workarounds, but what's the

problem? The problem is charging too much for too little, hiking up prices to places that people don't want to pay.

They feel taking advantage of.

This is especially true.

I learned from Jeff on the strip.

What is to be done?

Well, for one, you could reduce the prices or eliminate charges for sitting, I don't know,

buy the pool or whatever the prices are, or $20 or $40 for a glass of beer.

Las Vegas has a problem, and Jeff indicates they recognize it.

Some parts of Las Vegas do, but when you have empty rooms on a weekend,

it isn't hard to recognize that you've gone too far with what Jeff calls nickel and diming.
