a conversation with my good colleague, Jim McTag, former Washington editor, Baron's magazine,

now a novelist in Lancaster County. What I learned from Jim is that there is a very popular

restaurant where you can get a beer stestein and some very rich looking food.

Dockside Willies on the shores of the Susquehanna River opposite Harrisburg and near a minor

league baseball park where the Harrisburg Senators play on the weekend especially.

Jim has a meal there that is extremely challenging and says that it's very popular.

There's a place for several hundred cars, parking lot.

And it was quite celebratory mood.

He enjoyed his meal a great deal.

He flattered it.

However, where's the recession?

Yeah, Doxide Willys. It's the kind of restaurant that if you went to Key West Florida or the New Jersey shore, it would be overlooking the ocean.

But this Doxide Willis is overlooking the Susquehanna River in LeMoyne, Pennsylvania, which is on the opposite

bank of Harrisburg. And in between the two is City Island, which has a baseball stadium

where the Harrisburg Senators play. And it's a beer and pub food joint.

I had the most delicious meal I've had in decades.

It was the bottom layer was sweet potato waffle fries.
