Why is this important?

Hamas has resupplied itself with arms, with building material, with men, for years. with cooperation, Egyptian ignorance.

So far, what we have is the New York Times

acknowledging that the Israeli defense forces

in the extreme left-hand side of the Gaza Strip's border with Egypt, they've found three

tunnels near the border, is all they'll say, not under the border. If those tunnels are discovered, how do we talk about

them? How does Jerusalem talk to Cairo about them because they would be a major part of the component of Hamas's

buildup and success and maybe even exit.

His Jonathan Schanser, Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, on the tunnels believed to be underneath the border. the I think it's a clue. I mean it's a sign at the very least that the Israelis are

operating looking for tunnels in this region and the big question really you have to

remember John that of course the Israelis and the Egyptians

this is the oldest peace in the region for Israel and as the saying goes as goes

Egypt so goes the rest of the Middle East.
