Gustavo Petro elected a president that cannot succeed himself one term a former

gorilla a man of the left is now in a retreat from his own population.

His approval ratings continue to decline.

The currency continues to decline.

The country is in despair.

Why?

What happened? Where was the popularity that elected him in

22-23? He wrote a wave of leftist, left-of-centered presidents. And now, Caracas, Brasilia, Bogota, all

troubled. Why? What's happened?

In one way or another, just about everything that Petro promised to do things in a new way has fallen

apart. He made some legislative progress with a new tax deal, but a lot of his other proposals

to reform the health care system that the Columbians really thought was working and didn't

want reformed.

Stagnated in Congress, his talk about reforming the pension system that again the

Columbians thought was pretty good and didn't want reformed also fell apart in

Congress.

Some of his other initiatives really have remained paralyzed.
