I learned that the present tax system in the U.S. does not encourage savings.

In fact, it inhibits savings with its many details and exemptions.

And then on the other hand, there's the flat tax.

You only get taxed for what you use the money for

there is in between i learned from veronique the one she likes is called the hall rubushka plan

for robert hall and alvin rubushka, that encourages savings.

But as Veronique says, there are lots of plans.

The idea is to encourage savings, which is future consumption.

There's, they're different.

Everyone has a plan,

you know, how it is, right? And and and or we propose that there are kind of like a way to

move the system towards a more consumption based neutral system. So there are ways to do it.

The problem is like every tax deduction has a special

interest behind it and they're strong politically.
