The rivalry has very clearly marked itself these last years, India cutting off all products,

apps, everything from China, and now India becomes a source of major manufacturing, as Apple announces,

is going to switch all of its iPhone assembly into India in the next year.

However, Sadanon reports that over these last months there's been an effort by India and China

in some way to thaw the standoff in the Himalayas

and the suspicion of each as stealing business.

Well, both.

I mean, there's a deep structural rivalry between India and China.

These are the two most populous nations on the planet.

India overtook China to be the most populous country on the planet in 2023.

They had a long festering border dispute that you and I have talked about many times over the years.

So those things are just baked in and those don't change.

But, you know, over the last six months,

there have been attempts by both New Delhi and Beijing

to mend their ties to an extent.

cosmetic things like an Indian pilgrimage
