What is to be done?

Temporary displacement is contemplated still.

To clean up Gaza will take perhaps years.

The debris is everywhere. Are the Arab states cooperating? Apparently not.

However, there is more to learn about the fate of the Gossans after, as Jonathan adds, after Hamas is solved.

That comes next, I understand. Here's Jonathan to explain. More of this

tonight. Well, I think there is still an ongoing discussion about this. The thing is, is that this

discussion is not really advanced in any significant way. I think there is a broad understanding right

now in the Arab world that Gaza needs to be rebuilt,

and that's going to require some special things to happen, mainly that you need to see the

transfer of the population. Not a permanent transfer, you know, and I don't think the Israelis

are speaking about it in those terms, but nonetheless, it is, you know,

it's prompting some of the Arab states, notably Jordan and Egypt, I think, primarily,

but also maybe some of the Gulf countries as well. They're sounding the alarm about the

possibility of ethnic cleansing. Again, though, this is not what is being discussed when you talk about

the temporary relocation of populations in order for reconstruction to begin after the removal of

Hamas. I think the only cleansing we're looking at is Hamas itself.
