This is John Batchelor, conversation with my colleague Elizabeth Peek about the tariffs.

The importers and the exporters went through this in the first Trump term. The difference is the 10% on everything. However, the expectation is there'll be inflation.

game playing in the second quarter.

Yeah, because there have been so much.

Well, there's certainly been a lot of hedging.

We saw that in the first quarter numbers in terms of imports already coming into the U.S.,

people building inventory at old prices.

So I think to your point, John, my guess is inflation isn't going to look bad, at least for the next

a couple of months, because we're going to be winding down that inventory.

And then, yes, it's not like all these companies aren't agile

and have not been able to figure out ways to get around it.
