This is John Batchel, conversation with colleague Jeff Bliss, Pacific Watch,

about the disturbances in Los Angeles spreading to other cities.

It's several days into the crisis.

This is the sixth night, Jeff is addressing.

And it would appear that the police in Los Angeles,

as well as cities such as Seattle and Las Vegas, have adopted the

correct tactics to maintain order as much as possible with some arrests.

There doesn't seem to be a spree of looting similar to what we saw in that first night of trouble, deep trouble, in Los Angeles,

where the night there was no curfew and the Apple Store was looted on camera.

The other cities, not so much.

And that means good things are moving in a direction away from chaos, anarchy.

Is Jeff Bliss to report on the sixth night, seventh night, one of the other, however you count them?

And it appears moving towards resolution.

Indeed.

A number of cities have reported, you know, lots of protests, but, you know, violence here and there.

They had to break up protests in Seattle and in Spokane, Washington last night,

and the night before, they had peaceful protests,

which then moved into more destructive protests. They wanted to keep them from turning into

big looting fest, like we saw in L.A., but there were some moves against police lines,

and police made some arrests. And then in Las Vegas last night, they had some protesters who had to be dispersed.

And, of course, in Las Vegas, you're not going to protest in the middle of day because it's,
