Colleague, Chris Regal, has recommendations for the Trump administration in its attempt to deny China the access to the best chips that NVIDIA makes.

Chris sees the idea of stopping the flow of those chips illicitly the edges, black market pirating. Impossible.

Law enforcement at that scale impossible given all the transshipment opportunities.

It does connect to the tariff wars in that part of the greater Trump strategy of applying pressure to the Chinese market is to prevent some of these advanced technologies from

entering into China.

That being said, I would say, I think the administration may be looking at it the wrong

way.

It's going to be impossible to prevent the smuggling of these chips.

If you look more at incentive as opposed to penalty, you might have a better outcome.

With the growth of AI in the United States, with the ability for companies to go public, raise funds,

make the US the most competitive point to grow a company

and pull the best brain power out of China that might be in U.S. universities or others,

incentivize those people to grow businesses here and beat them in the open market as opposed

to trying to restrict because restriction is an impossible game.
