This is John Batchel, a conversation with colleague Bob Zimmerman about a private company, Enterprise, VAST,

building space station, many of them if they get the contracts.

And Bob and I exchanged ideas about how long it will take VAS to get a station up.

And there's a motive here, there's incentive, there's monetizing, there's a contract.

And Bob lays out the details.

I'm referring to a witticism about SpaceX.

When Mr. Moss says one year, next year, he means five years.

However, Bob Zimmerman on VAST,

on private space stations, launching, ISS was a pioneer about what's coming are hotels,

way stations, launch platforms, science, all in low Earth orbit. More of this tonight. tonight no it's spring of 26 they were

originally trying to get to this launch in 25 they pushed it back uh to 26 um this is

they they follow philosophy of SpaceX you know they they establish very ambitious

deadlines and then move them back, but they get

close to meeting them.

They also like SpaceX, and they're vertically integrated.

They're building everything themselves, and once again, they're trying to do this themselves.

Yeah, next year means five years.

That's what SpaceX.

You know, I would say not.

In this case, I would say the odds are very, very high that this

will fly next year. It might not be in the spring, but I think it's very high. It'll fly next

year. Remember, John, NASA is expecting to issue the big contract sometime around 27 so they can
