And I also think, though, that the politics content is some of the strongest in a little while.

Yes, that too, that too. Can I make a quick observation about the politics stuff? Yeah, yeah.

Deep immersion into the newsroom has reminded me that, or made me realize for the first time what a black hole the Obama era was. I mean, stuff happened in the George W. Bush era. Stuff happened and is happening

in the Trump era. And in the Obama era, just politically, culturally, there was this stagnancy. And as I'm

being reacquainted with all these micro scandals, you know, as I'm being reminded of all these

flash in the pan figures who all sort of auditions to be the next great white hope for the conservative movement, you just feel like the looming specter of Trump about to come. I mean, you didn't feel it when you saw this at the time, but now it's like all of this just got so washed away. And no wonder it was so easy for Trump.

Yeah.

You know, the big liberal concern in this era that runs through this show is, you know, it all has to do with, yeah, these obscure motions or resolutions or legislation sponsored by, you know, some Republican backbencher. You don't remember unless you're one of the co-hosts of Pod Save America.

And I don't know, as the nation's children were in poverty, they sponsored a bill to say that the flag was good or something.

Or they questioned Joe Biden's patriotism or something.

And what the show is saying is, okay, but what if we'd have had fucking Will

McAvoy to bring these people on and chastise them and get to the truth?

And this show has not executed that as much as I think the two of us would like.

Like, just serve it to me.

I'm a piggy.

Give me the liberal kits. Give me the slop. I will lap, just serve it to me. I'm a piggy. Give me the liberal kitch. Give me the

slop. I will lap it up. But this episode delivered. It kind of had everything.

And just one last thing on this, even though this was a black hole of a time and all these

scandals seem so like I hate hearing about them. I'm so tired of them. I think the thing that I come closest to missing about this time, at least in conservative

politics, is that there were more characters.

I mean, there are characters now, but they're all revolving around the sun of Donald Trump.

It's crazy to remember a time in the recent past when like there could be an outrage cycle around
