God morning to you.

Myster Eckhart said there is a huge silence inside each of us that beckons us into itself,

and the recovery of our own silence can begin to teach us a language of heaven.

Let's relax and recover that silence together.

Close your eyes and become aware of your breathing without altering it in any way.

If you've lost awareness of your breath, come back to it. Give it your attention, not your thoughts.

Not any sensations in the body.

Don't give your attention to ambient sounds.

Give more attention to your breath than you are to my voice.

And now shift your awareness from the sound and fill of your breath to the silence you can discern within.

It might not be quiet in your head, but it's quiet in your throat.

There's a big quiet in your chest.

There's a silence where your arms are within and without.

Ask that quiet.

What are you trying to tell me?

And listen.

You can ask that of the quiet in your thighs. You can ask it of the quiet in your heart.

You can ask it of the quiet outside of you or the quiet inside of you. They're the same. It doesn't matter.

But direct that question into the silence.

Ask it of the silence. What?
