This is CBS. I'm the world. I'm John Batchel. China in space, the story is that China's program late is pushing barriers everywhere

in all directions. Roscosmos early is aged out and NASA is in between, a budget from the Trump

administration cutting funds dramatically for everything but manned space.

And Congress pushing back the story of three big space projects once upon a time.

I welcome Brandon Wyckhardt of National Interest who writes on these matters and has a book about winning space,

about the contest between these three big players.

There's lots of commercial properties out there.

SpaceX comes to mind immediately.

But the big players still have budgets and still have ambitions, geopolitical ambitions.

Most recently, the Chinese launched what appears to be in geosynchronous orbit. That means

way up a refueling satellite capable of moving between satellites and taking care of them

in orbit to continue their life and or destroy them. In other words, it's a dual-use system.
