It's nuclear winter week, and we turn to Rick Fisher, International Assessment and Strategy Center,

to comment on a recent article in The Economist magazine, speculating in a nuclear war exchange between the People's Republic of

China and the United States of America, who has more reason to cheer before?

And it's not who would win, who has more reason to cheer?

Both sides are going to take losses, but what kind of losses?

I understand the economist is writing up an exercise that had a team for China, PRC, and a team for the USA.

And it would appear that the reason China has more reason to cheer

is that it has many more targets it can safely destroy,

signaling to the American leadership, are you going to escalate or deal?

Then we have in China to destroy, to deter the leadership in Beijing.

This is a very unusual logic.

However, I embrace it because what the heck has now come to politics, not war fighting.

Is that your measure as well that we have not adequately targeted all those targets in China and that we're not deterring anyone?

We're either saying do it. we're either saying we're going to

slam you or we're going to negotiate good evening to you. Good evening John good

evening Gordon China clearly has great reason to cheer, John,

but the United States has a thin amount of reason to cheer as well.
