Well, thank you everybody for joining us. I'm Father Chris. We're here live with a full beautiful day, a full group of people here at the shrine for not only is it for Saturday, which we will be leading you in the devotion, but it is also All Saints Day. So we're going to be talking about that. Why do we pray to saints? Aren't they dead? Why not pray directly to Jesus? We'll talk about all that. But I wanted to start by saying that I announced a few weeks ago that we're going to be going to 15 minutes. And, you know, I'm so used to getting beat up so bad on on letters and emails

and YouTube comments that I I do got to acknowledge I was amazed I got dozens

that if not hundreds over hundreds of comments and only one said said, keep it short. Please, all the others

said, make them, keep them long, Father Chris. I'm surprised. Everybody's listening. I'm so

grateful. However, I'm not going to go back to the full length we did before. At the longest,

we'll ever do is half of that our goal is 30 to 45

minutes now because I was doing 15 and you guys said that's too short father so we're grateful

I'm shocked I'm amazed that that you guys are asking for a longer so we'll sit in there that 30

at the shortest through 45 at the absolute longest. Now, today is a huge

topic. So it'll probably be a little bit on the longer side, but less than half of what it used to

be. So let us begin with the prayer in the name of the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we ask you send the Holy Spirit down upon us to open our minds and hearts.

And through the intercession of Mary and all the saints, especially St. Faustina, we ask for your guidance

and for always be brought closer to you. We ask all this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

And so now, let's start by reminding you as Catholics, what are our holy days of obligation.

Now, they can change, depending on the diocese depending on the year what days they fall on

but for the most part our holy days of obligation and this is not meant the church to

be controlling over you this is meant that you get to heaven.
