Hello, my friends, and welcome back to another Friday Pray Together episode.

I want to encourage you with some scripture today.

As we begin, this is Philippians chapter 4 verses 5 through 7.

And it says, actually beginning verse 6, it says, do not be anxious about anything.

So that is a command to us to choose not to be anxious.

And I know that when you're in the thick of the situation and the worry and anxiety is

pressing in on you, that sounds like kind of a pie in the sky sort of a thing to say,

do not be anxious.

But this is a command from our Lord Jesus.

We are not to be anxious.

And notice what he says about anything.

But and so that but means instead of that through prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving,

we are to let our requests be made known to God.

So do you see the connection?

Our anxiety and feelings of stress and panic and whatever it is that we feel are an

indication to us.

It's like a red flag telling us you have something here to take to the Father and we're

to go in prayer and make supplication.

That's to make a request with Thanksgiving and that Thanksgiving comes from knowing we are

making our request to the one who can act on our behalf, the one who can answer.

When we make those requests known to God, ever seven following gives us a promise.

It says the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and
