All right, today we're looking at Proverbs chapter 4 verses 14 through 19.

And the writer of Proverbs is encouraging us to gain wisdom in our lives. He's encouraging us to

seek wisdom. And in this passage today, he's going to be talking about wisdom regarding evil,

which is a very interesting perspective. Let's read the passage. It says,

do not enter the path of the wicked and do not walk in the way of the evil. Avoid it.

Do not go on it. Turn away from it and pass on. For they cannot sleep unless they have

done wrong. They are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble. For they eat the

wickedness and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the righteous is like the light

of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. The way of the wicked is like

deep darkness. They do not know over what they stumble.

Now, I find it very helpful to think of the path of wickedness as a path thinking of it as

a trail that you might walk down in life. And you come to a fork on the road and you have

two choices. One is labeled the path of wisdom. The other is labeled the path of wickedness.
