Hey, it's Callie Black here with today's thought.

Let's open up to Doctrine and Covenants, section 136, verse 28.

That verse says,

Praise the Lord with singing, with music, with dancing, and with a prayer of praise and Thanksgiving.

Praise and Thanksgiving go perfectly hand in hand.

I think of a traditional Thanksgiving meal, where we are surrounded by loved ones and we share what we're grateful for.

There is something special about just focusing on gratitude. If you're having trouble figuring out how to praise the Lord in your own way,

I recommend focusing on gratitude.

When I focus on gratitude, my heart can't help but praise the Lord for all the

blessings I can count in my life. It can be hard, especially on those difficult and trying days,

to think about the good things in our lives. But I want to praise my Lord by remembering all that he has given me.

I have this beautiful earth, my body, my friends, my family members,

the opportunity to change when I make a mistake, my scriptures, the Holy Spirit, and so, so much more.

I want to give praise and thanks Thanksgiving to my Lord today and every

day. What are you feeling especially grateful for today? So the takeaway of the day in five words or less,
