He went against the Cardinals and he had a 5.1 inning start with two and runs, three hits two walks and eight strikeouts. Yes. 17 whiffs. You want to know the best part

about this? No, it's not that the slider and sweeper were great. They're usually great. We're

expecting that every time. What I'm not expecting is from just suddenly have 18 inches of vert on his

four seamer not. 16 to 17. And if Max Meyer can do that, well, that will mean what he just did, which is four seamers

only having one ball in play and a ton of foul balls, something that can be consistent

and prevent his fastball from punishing his line, ruining it completely.

And that's fun.

I don't know if Max Meyer can do that, though.

He's been a hipster, headache-inducing pitcher, stifling the entire roster. Of course, we've gone through this. But if this is a real thing for Max Meyer, then the fastball is better and isn't going to get punished as much. It's not going to allow as much damage. and then you have the singer in the, sorry, the slider in the sweeper,

Well, this whole game, Jack Flaherty and with Sunny Gray, just both of them did not go very long. Sunday Gray had a better excuse than Flaherty, where Sunny Gray left with the hamstring injury. Now he's down the IL. And yes, you should spec add. Payton told him, just going to get that out of the way now. We don't know if he is confirmed for Saturday, but he already was removed from his weekend start as a contingency plan for the Red Sox, not even knowing this about Sunny Gray. And now he has a clear open spot. We don't know how long Gray is going to be out for. Yeah, Tully's going to be in that rotation, likely on Saturday. It's going to be a questionable start. I know the rule, the pilot rule, prospect's initial line, often terrible. However, Tully is not a true MLB debut, right? It's a season debut, and he's pitched

well in the minors. He hopefully has a better cutter now. So I'm cool with that. I do prefer

Connor prelip if Connor prelip is starting. Okay, so the situation there is that McAbel got hurt,

and the twins have prelip now on the taxi squad.

He was the guy that would be the, was after Abel in the prospects to call up, right, during camp

and all. And he's been great. I think that prelip is a better pitcher than Tolly right now

because he has a wider arsenal than Tolly.

Tolly is very good at throwing four seamers. I don't know if his cutter is really going to be that great. I don't know if he's going to have good enough command. While Prelip has the changeup, that's excellent as a swatch, South Pole Tide changeup, but those 95-96, has a really good two-plane, 83-mile-per-hour curveball, has a great 80, 889
