a Senior Fellow teaches law at NYU in the University of Chicago, the State of the Union

message delivered by President Biden. At one point the President took a time in his

speech to look directly at the members of the court sitting right in front of

him, right in front of the dais up front.

They do not applause, they do not get up and down as the members of either party do during the

course of the conversation.

In this instance, the president directly addressed the members of the

court and chastised them over the Dobbs decision. However, Professor, I saw that

more as a warning to the court not to get out of bounds for what is

intended and that would include the Smith count the Smith indictments for

the documents cases in Florida and the January 6th case.

How did you see it?

I think exactly the same way you did.

You start looking at the Democrats

and their attitude is to do everything they can possibly do to

undermine the legitimacy of the Supreme Court. There's a nice editorial in the

Wall Street Journal about why Justice Alito does not go.

And the answer is very clear.

He doesn't want to have to sit there and be the target of abuse on camera.

As he mentioned in the interview,
