I just got off the meat depressed set where we focused on mass shootings and the impasse

over gun regulations.

We had a big show today starting with our culture panel featuring the former mayor of Baltimore,

former Atlanta area police chief and a parent of a parkland victim.

Plus we heard from Senator Cory Booker in my guess right now.

Former North Carolina governor Pat McCrory.

Pat, it's good to see you and I appreciate you willing to go out there after you've lost

your campaign.

I'd be perfectly reasonable for you to say, man, I need a break from all of this.

So before I get into today's show, I'm just curious.

There's this great line that Walter Mondale once shared about losing the presidency and

somebody he has George McGovern.

When do you get over it?

And McGovern said, I'll let you know.

I agree.

And this was, you know, it's one of those things you'd never get over.

It's going to be something that I haven't got over my governor's reelection.

There you go.

I'll probably be thinking that on my last breath.

This race, I'll get over it because it's something I never had.

It's tough.
