Let's just say though, in the legal world it's been a pretty busy week. On Tuesday, former

president Trump was formally arrested and arraigned in New York City and on Friday, two legal

rulings by federal judges in Washington and Texas delivered conflicting guidance on the

future of one of the more important parts of the medicated abortion treatment. This along

with the partisan rank or over the most expensive Supreme Court race last week in history in Wisconsin,

a reporter from ProPublica that charges just as Clarence Thomas with accepting luxury trips

from a wealth Republican donor. Perhaps leaves Americans with a vision of the judiciary

that has really been more divided and out of touch than it is today. I'm sitting here now

with NBC News Senior Legal Correspondent, Lord Jarrett. She was on the Sunday round table. We

invited her on because we knew we were going to do a bunch of legal stuff. And that was before

the abortion rulings. And as you were just saying, and don't forget the vice president of the United

States test to testify before a grand jury. And we barely, and we barely noted this. When you

got into the business of becoming from actually practicing law to covering the legal community,

is this the week you dreamed of as a correspondent or not? This is probably as good as it gets.

Although I fear sometimes when you say that, I know people get like, well, reinterpret,

oh, you guys love this stuff. No, but what I mean by that is that these are like the things

that you study in law school, right? This idea of dueling injunctions on most widely used
