Hello there, I'm Chuck Todd and this is the Chuck Todd cast.

So last Sunday I meet the press, the centrist senator Joe Manchin dodged a bunch of questions

about his plans for 2024 in Sorta.

Most notably though he refused to rule out the possibility that he could join a presidential

ticket being put together by the group called No Lapes.

It's the name of a new movement.

It's actually an older movement but it's newly focused on the presidential.

Right now, headed up by members of both major parties to offer a potential alternative if

the two nominees are Biden and 2024.

The cards couldn't be more stacked against third party candidates in US elections and yet

No Labels released their first public poll where they showed 59% of voters said they'd

be open to voting for a moderate independence.

In 2024 the next cycle offers a Trump Biden rematch.

For the time being however, No Labels does not have a candidate ready to take up the

challenge.

But there's definitely some people circling, that's for sure.

So are the two all but presumed nominees unpopular enough that a significant number of

voters might actually seek out a third option?

Well, I'm joined today by Ryan Clancy.

He's the chief strategist of No Labels.

He has done a lot of the dirty work on this, polling and analysis.

And so he's been willing to engage on these hypotheticals with me.
