Hi, welcome to the Rhythms for Life podcast. And I know for most of us here in America,

it's election week, a big day yesterday, Lots happening. I'm pre-recording this,

so not sure of outcomes, not sure if we'll know an outcome. But the point is, today, we wanted to

feature a talk that was part of something we did with Think Media over the last month. We had so many

hundreds of people come together and host in their own living rooms and around dining room

an event or an experience called Let's Talk Politics. Now, of course, none of us really enjoys talking politics too much,

but it's important around this time of year to do that. And what we did was we provided several different talks that

helped elevate the conversation beyond just the political rhetoric and the things you're hearing constantly in social media on the news feed or on news on television.

And we wanted to help people have a deeper dialogue about their role as citizens in a country.

And part of the conversation that I wanted to lead that you're going to hear in just a moment was helping people really think about how do we build the future beyond just this election

moment? Because elections come and go. We often do hear about how significant each election is,

and there's no doubt elections are important. But our role locally and the ways in which we are

part of building the future with those that we love,

with those that are in our local community, in our county, the ones that we overlap life with,

our neighbors, our friends, this is going to be the space that likely is going to impact
