| 2:16.0 | A lot of thought out there in the mental health arena has to do with the health of your gut can determine the health of your mental state. |
| 2:31.0 | So gut bacteria have been linked to several mental illnesses and patients with various psychiatric disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and autism have been found to have significant alterations in the composition of their gut microorganisms. |
| 2:57.0 | The interest in gut microbiome as related to human health and specifically to mental health is exponentially increasing in the years after 2000. |
| 3:12.0 | And this is demonstrated by research from CAS. |
| 3:18.0 | Currently, there are over 7,000 publications on gut microbiome as related to mental health. |
| 3:29.0 | They go on to describe how babies acquire their first dose of microbes at birth, development of the human gut microbiome, so it starts at birth. |
