Welcome back to the Stronger by Science Podcast. Today is going to be part two of our

0:06.4

discussion on popular diets and common misconceptions in nutrition. Now for today's episode I am going to be the only host which

0:16.2

leads me to a bit of an update so as I mentioned in our most recent episode the

0:22.0

SBS Podcast co-host Union was on strike because they wanted

0:26.4

family contact to be reinstated despite the obvious and direct threat to show quality and show focus. I did make an altruistic

0:37.1

and generous concession and I granted that request and it came with only a modest pay reduction in order to offset some of the

0:45.8

damages that the podcast would incur as we made that change. So I granted that policy

0:52.0

change and unfortunately with some folks if you give an inch they ask for a mile and that's where we find ourselves currently with the union. So after spending Christmas time with their families

1:06.1

during the strike, apparently they decided that was something that they want

1:10.5

moving forward. So they have requested in addition to their previous requests that they want Christmas

1:16.0

day off in the future.

1:18.7

Now that to me is kind of a line in the sand. That would be fully incompatible with our production

1:25.2

schedule. I don't want to get too into the details about the behind the scenes efforts here.

1:30.5

But this strike, which I mean I've got lawyers contacting me continuously saying it's totally unfair, totally illegal.

1:37.5

But this strike continues and so for that reason I am the only host for today's show. Now we're going to get into part two of this

1:45.4

discussion but before I do that I want to remind everyone that if you like the show and

1:51.0

you would like to support it and support us in this nasty battle with the union.

1:56.3

There are many ways you could do that.
