I'm Caleb Brown. Normally you can hear me at the Cato Daily Podcast, a product of the Cato Institute.

And I am filling in for Andrew Heaton today, who boy, late afternoon yesterday was really leaning on me to to take over for him

while he goes on vacation somewhere. This session was not well planned.

I have got a full-time job, but trying to do a favor, trying to help a friend out.

The problem at this point is I don't have a guest and I think it would probably be irresponsible of me and frankly I'm sorry I don't mean to pile on Andrew, but frankly he should have booked someone for me.

I usually book my own show, and when I have guest hosts, which is rare, I will book them a guest. I would do that for him. And so a

monologue is really only appropriate in a situation where you have like a superhero tied up in a corner.

So if you'll bear with me, I'm going to make a quick phone call to try to drum up a guest. Obviously I do hundreds of episodes of

podcasts every year so I'm sure I can I'm sure I can come up with somebody. So I'm going to make a

phone call and then we'll get this show on the road.
