Come on in, the water's fine.

The sun is out. The beers are cold. The inflatable pool is filled. The tunes are bumping. And the vibes are crunchy. Make sure you bring your suncreen. I’m certain Ethan and Patrick burn easy.

We have a bit of a poducer’s cut extended edition of this week’s episode - mostly because I am exghausted and didn’t have the will power to shave it down more. • Ethan read a book, The Death of Christian Culture, written by some dead guy or whatever. It was recommended to Patrick by MATT FRADD, a.k.a. “some asshole.” (Little SEO optimization there).
• Bad French accents.
• Ethan endorses the view that modernism is the neverending pursuit of the “new,” which we construct out of thin air. 
• Patrick suggests that this pursuit is a human tendency, and we need Jesus to elevate our humanity above that, and even above the Garden of Eden.
• Sensationalism and Empiricism. Other big words.
• The ol’ Solomon solution in this week’s DEDC.
• The attractiveness:distance dating ratio. Certainly problematic, but highly effective.
