This is Lorenzo and I'm your host here in the Psychedelic Salon.

And you're probably wondering where I've been.

Well, if you've been following me on Twitter, you already know part of the story.

And after we've first listened to this talk by Terence McKenna, I'll be back to fill you in.

But first, let's get to this interesting talk about time travel.

And just one bit of a warning here, and that is that while Terence's grasp of particle physics and black holes may have been current in August of 1991,

a lot of advanced research has taken place since then, and that may greatly alter

some of the things that he was saying. However, I think that I know the physicist that was present

at this talk and whom Terrence called Paul, and if he's who I think he is, then we can rely on the

fact that this information was as current as possible as of 1991.

And actually, now that I think of it, Paul was one of the first listeners to these podcasts,

if I remember correctly. So, hi, Paul, if you're still out there.

Oh, and here's a spoiler alert.

The prediction that Terence McKenna makes about happenings on December 22nd, 2012,

well, they did not, in fact, take place.

And that's for those of us who haven't been paying too much attention to the current date lately.

An elf told me that, now there's a fine thing for a scientist to say, an elf told me that time travel is possible, but it is constrained in ways which are not normally part of our expectation of time travel.
