Summary

Guest speakers: Glenn Greenwald and Stefan Molyneux PROGRAM NOTES: “What the NSA has done is essentially converted the Internet from this unprecedented zone of freedom into the most powerful means of surveillance ever known in human history.” -Glenn Greenwald [NOTE: The following quotations are by Stefan Molyneux.] “If we have a bitcoin universe, you don't get to print money for war. You don't get to have money for a prison/industrial complex. You don't get money for a war on drugs. You have to ask the people.” “So bitcoin gives us an opportunity to reclaim the power of the people to say yes or no to what the government claims that it wants to do.” “Freedom for the government is enslavement for the people. When the government is free the people are enslaved. When the government is contained then the people are free.” “To limit money is to limit political power.” “If we have a bitcoin universe, you don't get to print money for war. You don't get to print money for a prison/industrial complex. You don't get to print money for a war on drugs. You have to ask the people.” “When you give government the power to control the money supply, it grows like a tumor until it extinguishes society itself.” “There is going to be enormous amounts of resistance to the adoption of bitcoin, but I really believe that it's about the most peaceful revolution that we can have in this world.” Download MP3 PCs – Right click, select option Macs – Ctrl-Click, select option /*

This is Lorenzo, and I'm your host here in the psychedelic salon.

0:23.6

And welcome to another wave of action report.

0:27.0

As you know, a worldwide wave of action began on April 4th of this year, and will continue

0:32.7

through July 4th.

0:34.5

And while this is the next phase of the Occupy movement, I'm sure that you've

0:38.9

also noticed the lack of mainstream media coverage about what's taking place. And that's not

0:44.2

necessarily a bad thing. As was discovered during Phase 1, which was Occupy Wall Street,

0:50.6

our local police forces have now been transformed into heavily equipped military units.

0:56.4

In essence, the police slash surveillance state has begun a somewhat light-handed form of martial law.

1:03.5

I say light-handed because it's the plan to keep us all thinking that the threats to our freedom

1:09.1

come from a rag-tag bunch of faceless terrorists.

1:12.6

The fact is, however, that here in the U.S., the likelihood of being struck by lightning,

1:17.9

is significantly higher than that of being involved in a terrorist incident.

1:22.8

How many people do you know who have been struck by lightning?

1:26.0

If the answer is zero, then perhaps you should be worrying about something other than the fear of terrorists that the Obama administration is pushing down our throats.

1:35.3

But I digress.

1:37.4

As I pointed out in an earlier wave of action podcast, this phase of the movement involves doing mainly positive things, like helping people

1:45.5

fight off greedy banksters who continue to foreclose on homes and put people out on the street

1:51.1

at alarming rates.
