Our text today comes from Psalm chapter 1 in verse 3, the New Living Translation. Notice there

these words, they are like trees planted along the river bank bearing fruit each season.

Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do we're talking today about planted trees

planted trees planted trees the bible calls us trees that are planted by god and in this particular first division of the book of Psalm,

remember he said, blessed is the man or the woman that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the Lord,

and in his law, doth he meditate day and night. And then we come to verse three, they are like a tree,

planted alongside the riverbank, bearing fruit in each season, and their leaves also never wither, and all that

they do will prosper.

That promise is predicated on our not walking in the way of sinners and standing in the seat

of the scornful, sitting in the seat of the scornful sitting in the

seat of the scornful and being with ungodly folks doing ungodly things but when we do that

and we take the time to actually meditate in the word of God get God's word in us we get in

the word so the word can get in us we get in the word so the word can get in us. We get in the word so the word

rooted, grounded, grounded. In fact, when the Bible talks about

anything that is radical the word radical comes from a

a old Latin word radicalis and it it doesn't mean just wild it means rooted

radicalis means rooted so the people that became radical for god became rooted in

god when you're playing it you have to be radical because radical people change the world

we can't just get filled with the gospel and then just sit down in the boot in the back in the

corner in the dark as a nice quiet complicit people no no no once you know the truth
