Our scriptural lesson today comes from Genesis chapter 28, verse 10 down through verse 17, reading

from the new living translation. Notice here the word of the Lord. Meanwhile, Jacob left

the Urshaba and traveled toward Haram. And at sundown, he arrived at a good place to set up camp

and stop there for the night. Jacob found a stone to rest his

head against and to lay down to sleep. And as he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from

earth to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the stairway. And at the top of the

stairway stood the Lord and he said, I am the Lord, the God of your grandfather Abraham, at the top of the stairway stood the Lord and he said I am the Lord the God

of your grandfather Abraham and the God of your father Isaac the ground you are lying on belongs

to you I'm giving it to you and your descendants your descendants will be as numerous as the dust of

the earth and they will spread out in all directions to the west and the east and to the north and the south and all the dust of the earth and they will spread out in all directions to the west

and the east and to the north and the south and all the families of the earth will be blessed

through your you and your descendants what's more i'm with you and i will protect you wherever you go

and one day i will bring you back to this land i will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you. And then Jacob woke from his sleep and said, surely the Lord is in this place and I wasn't even aware of it. But he was also afraid and said, what an awesome place this is.

It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven. And I'm speaking today from the

subject, from nowhere to now here. From nowhere to now here it's it amazing jacob was on a journey he was running for

his life his life was in transition may i announce to you today that many of you are in transition

you're not what you used to be but you're not what you ought to be you're in transition. You're not what you used to be, but you're not what you ought to be. You're in

transition. You're moving from where you were and trying to come into where you need to be.

You're in transition. How many of you have things on the inside of you and you realize there's

more? There's something else more than

what I'm experiencing. I haven't gotten there yet, but I feel that something else is there for me,

waiting for me. I'm in transition. I'm waiting to come into that next place. And so you need
