And this week, Marianne will be speaking with Samantha Derrick, who is the founder and executive director of Plant Futures Initiative.

And she has an amazing story about how her quest to study the food system. who is the founder and executive director of Plant Futures Initiative,

and she has an amazing story about how her quest to study the food system as part of her graduate studies led to the creation of an academic course

and her plans to have that course taught in universities all over the country

and help introduce students in all different fields to ideas on how to

transition the food system away from animals. That's damn heroic. How cool is that?

Really, really impressive. Just, you know, letting one thing lead to another and thinking really big.

And I love this interview. This course sounds amazing.

And, you know, she's still in the beginning stages of getting it out there.

But I didn't even know you could do that, create courses, and get it in different schools.

It's all kind of complicated.

I mean, academia is kind of complicated, not this course.

So, yeah, really, really cool. And it's not,

the courses like available to people at different levels and in different fields of study,

which, you know, that you see so little of that in academia. Usually everybody's in their silo

and that really makes things hard to accomplish. Anyway, this is a really cool interview,
