Welcome to Our Henhouse. This is Jasmine Singer. And this is Mary Ann Sullivan. And this week, we will both be interviewing Andrew Lipstein, author of The Vegan. If you haven't heard about this book, it is certainly time you did.

It is most certainly not how to go vegan.

It is not a how to go vegan book.

I wrote that book, literally.

I wrote that book.

It is a novel, and it has been named a must-read book of 2023 by time,

and a most anticipated book from the New York Times, Vanity Fair, L, Town and Country,

it goes on and on and on. And I should note that while we don't often have non-vegans on,

Andrew is a vegetarian, which is something we discuss at some length on this interview.

And I'll also add that this was an interview that we did

with a live studio audience or a virtual live studio audience. It was our flock. One of the perks of

becoming a flock member is that now it's pivoted that our flock Fridays allow you to sit in for a live interview that will

air and then we do a Q&A with you if you are part of the flock and you join us and and the Q&A

becomes the flock bonus content that week. So this was really different. This was a really

different energy. This was a really different energy.
