We're learning more about some of the 64 victims on board the American Airlines plane

after a mid-air collision with an Army helicopter,

carrying three others near Washington, D.C., Wednesday night.

28-year-old Sam Lilly was getting married this fall.

He was piloting the flight that was minutes away from landing.

His friend, Logan Thomas, told CNN affiliate WJCL, he was in disbelief when he got the news.

I just didn't even put two and two together at all. Until this morning, I got in my car and

I just come from a workout class and just scrolling through social media for a minute and saw a post about it and just thought there's no way.

I thought maybe this person got hacked and that's why they're saying this.

But did some more digging and realized that it was him.

Other victims include 26-year-old Asra Hussein Raza, a daughter of Indian immigrants, Kea Duggins,

a Harvard-trained civil rights attorney,

and six U.S. figure skating athletes, coaches, and family members.

A law enforcement source says that as of this morning, no remains had been brought to a mobile

morgue near the crash site in more than 12 hours.
