This is an ABC podcast.

I'm just going to fly in through here our cockroaches.

So here are some of our toy cockroaches.

Oh, so it's like a little rubber cockroach.

As part of her work, Cory Acklen collects some pretty weird things.

We have black ones in here too.

So there's a, I see a snake in there as well as well.

Yeah, there's lots of snakes, lots of spiders.

We've got some grasshoppers and lizards.

It basically looks like you've gone to like a party store

to the Halloween section

and right at that sort of part of the store.

Halloween is the best time for us to get our spider exposure toys.

Corey also has a variety of picture books, full of images of spiders or blood and needles,

or whatever else your preferred object of fear might be.

But the most important thing she collects, the reason we're here, are immersive 360-degree

videos.

I take my 360 camera with me wherever I go in the world as well in case I stumble upon an

environment that would be really valuable.

She's got scenes from dog beaches, pigeons descending on San Marcos Square in Venice.

We were on holiday and we were like, this is great, look at all these pigeons, people feeding these pigeons, camera went up.

And most terrifyingly for me, video of cockroaches.
