Hey everyone, this is Mary DeMuth and this is Pray Every Day where I pray through the Bible verse by verse.

So grateful to have you here today on this 23rd day of September and just so happy that you are valuing the Word of God and prayer.

And thank you so much for all of you who are brand new.

Typically, I read a book or two from the New Testament, a book or two from the Old Testament,

and then I pray for you according to that. I read it in the World English Bible. It's a free version to be

able to read and hope that that is helpful for you as it is to me.

Today we have jumped over to the New Testament.

We just finished the book of Esther, and now we are in the book of Philippians, one of Paul's letters.

He's written a lot of letters, and this, you can really see his heart.

This is also known as the book of joy.

There's a lot of joy, even though he writes it from prison. So I know if I

were in prison, I don't know that my letters would be inscribed or imbued with joy, but here we go.

Today I'm reading from Philippians chapter 1 verses 1 through 14 in the World English Bible, as I said,

and this is what it says. Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus

Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and servants,

grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God whenever I

remember you always in every request of mine on behalf of

you all making my request with joy for your partnership in furtherance of the good news from

the first day until now. Being confident of this very thing that he who began a good work in you

will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

It is even right for me to think this way on behalf of all of you because I have you in my heart,
