and now is an illegal battle with the city, the city of New York,

and the NYPD in order to restore his good name.

Can you start at the beginning?

Before any of this happened, how was everything at the NYPD? What was life like before all this happened?

Well, thanks for having me on, Sean.

I'm glad to be here.

And let me tell you, when I first joined the New York City Police Department all the way until the end,

it's almost like every couple of years, it's like a cycle and things change.

So when I first joined the department, it was, I joined for all the right reasons.

I wanted to make a difference.

I wanted to help the community, which I believe I did for my 14 years.

But, you know, towards the end of it, things became more political as time goes on. Because you almost go in like a novice will say you want to do the right thing.

But as time goes on, you'll realize that sometimes the right thing means it's the politically

right thing to do.
