1:05.8	Can you start at the beginning?
1:07.5	Before any of this happened, how was everything at the NYPD? What was life like before all this happened?
1:13.6	Well, thanks for having me on, Sean.
1:15.6	I'm glad to be here.
1:17.6	And let me tell you, when I first joined the New York City Police Department all the way until the end,
1:22.6	it's almost like every couple of years, it's like a cycle and things change.
1:26.6	So when I first joined the department, it was, I joined for all the right reasons.
1:32.3	I wanted to make a difference.
1:34.3	I wanted to help the community, which I believe I did for my 14 years.
1:38.3	But, you know, towards the end of it, things became more political as time goes on. Because you almost go in like a novice will say you want to do the right thing.
1:47.7	But as time goes on, you'll realize that sometimes the right thing means it's the politically
1:53.9	right thing to do.
