We are back at the virtual kitchen table and today we're going to be talking about our bodies.

That is women's bodies, what real women look like, how we view our bodies, and how we can

care for and embrace those bodies that we bring into the marital bedroom. Let's get started.

Body image gets discussed a lot, yet many wives still struggle with that. Why is viewing our

bodies positively so difficult?

Comparison.

Women are often very good at comparing themselves to others and not even to other real women. We often compare ourselves to the models and who we see on TV and all that.

But isn't it, wasn't it Cindy Crawford that said even she doesn't look like

Cindy Crawford? Yeah, I mean, the cultural setup is that only then 20-year-old bodies are the good

ones. And so if we're comparing ourselves to that, basically nobody looks like that. And so we get disheartened about it.

Yeah. I also think we're kind of culturally taught that it's more acceptable to talk negatively about our bodies than to talk positively about our bodies.

It's just, I don't hear a whole lot of people talking positive.

And, you know, if they do, would we look at them as arrogant or, you know, thinking too high of themselves?
