Welcome back.

According to our Veda, every person has been given a unique blueprint by nature.

This is called Prachruthi.

Prachruthi also means mind body type. How does understanding Prokruthi inform how we treat our bodies? According to the principles of Ayurveda, our body knows

what is good and bad for it. Nature has built the correct instincts into us from birth.

Once you begin to notice and obey these innate tendencies,

you will find that your physiology is capable

of achieving balance on its own with minimal effort on your part.

For example, there are people who are hyper metabolic. You've seen people who are skinny even though they eat quite a lot.

Sometimes they even say I can eat anything I want and I don't gain any weight. There are other people who say all I have to do is look at food and I gain weight. Others who tend to be inflammatory.

So these are tendencies in our body,

either hyperactivity or hyper metabolic activity

both in mind and body, or inflammatory tendencies in minds such as anger, hostility, jealousy,

which leads to inflammation in the body or retentive tendencies,

fluid retention or fat retention,

which can lead to risk factors for metabolic disease,

obesity, diabetes, etc.

As we learn more about these body types, we will begin to understand how by understanding our body type we can regulate our own biology.
