This is episode 157 of paranormal stories.

This episode I'm reading from a book called The Phenomena of Astral Projection,

authored by Sylvan Muldoon and Hereford Carrington, and published in 1951.

So I'm going to read from a part of the book that is titled,

Projections at the Time of Death.

And the first case I'm going to read is called The Monk Case.

Says eight percipients see halo over deathbed.

In 1922, Miss Dorothy Monk wrote the following account to David Gow, then editor of light,

telling how eight percipients saw a cloud-like formation, which was apparently generated out of the physical body of her mother,

who was passing away. Miss Monk wrote,

In our family circle, we were witnesses to an extraordinary phenomena

at the deathbed of our beloved mother, and it impressed us deeply.

After a long illness, aggravated by

case of gastric influenza, our mother died from heart failure. About 7 o'clock on the evening

of that day, a sick woman, while in coma, opened her mouth, and at that moment we all observed

a little thick white cloud forming over her head.

Although we observed no movement in it, its density varied ceaselessly.

Five of my sisters were with me and all saw this.

My brother and brother-in-law entered the room and also saw the phenomenon.

A blue light lighted the cloud
